 Ephesians 4:31-32 advises, "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Forgiveness is essential in overcoming bitterness.

Hebrews 12:15 warns, "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." Seeking God's grace and strength helps prevent bitterness from taking root. Psalm 51:10 is a prayer for inner renewal: "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Asking God to transform your heart can help you let go of bitterness.

Romans 8:28 reminds us, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 12:18 encourages, "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Striving for peace and reconciliation helps reduce bitterness.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 advises, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." Practicing gratitude shifts your focus from negative feelings to positive aspects of life. Colossians 3:13 says, "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Letting go of resentment helps in overcoming bitterness.
