God has bestowed upon us a spiritual inheritance that is available to us as heirs of his grace through Jesus Christ in the promise of eternal life. Titus 3:7 states, "So that, justified by his grace, we might become heirs, having the hope of eternal life." Hebrews 1:2 "But in these last days he has spoken to us by his son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe."
Obeying God's word is our greatest treasure, as it brings true happiness. By learning the word of God and doing righteous acts, we are accumulating a treasure more precious than gold, as it will lead us to our salvation. 1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his extravagant mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Psalm 23:4 reminds us, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Trusting in God's presence and guidance provides strength and courage. Seeking God's help through prayer is vital. Psalm 34:17 says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." Prayer aligns us with God's will and invites His intervention.
Ephesians 6:10-18 describes the "armor of God," which includes truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. These spiritual tools help believers stand firm against challenges. Reflecting on God's promises can provide reassurance. Isaiah 41:10 says, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Proverbs 15:22 advises, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Seeking godly wisdom and counsel from others can provide clarity and support. Sometimes, the best action is to wait on God. Exodus 14:14 assures, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Patience and trust in God's timing are crucial.
Worshiping God in the midst of trials can shift our focus and bring victory. 2 Chronicles 20:21-22 recounts how Jehoshaphat's army worshiped God, and He delivered them from their enemies. Following God's instructions with courage and obedience is essential. Joshua 1:9 encourages, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
How to Win when the Enemy Surrounds You
"When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory."
Ephesians 1: 13-14
