How to Face the Fear of Childbirth

Romans 8:28 

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (NIV)

   Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Trusting in God's strength and presence can provide comfort and courage. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Prayer can bring peace and reassurance.

Isaiah 41:10 offers reassurance: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Reflecting on God's promises can provide comfort and hope. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 highlights the importance of support: "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up." Seeking support from family, friends, and your faith community can provide encouragement and strength.

Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Trusting in God's faithfulness can provide reassurance and peace. Psalm 139:13-14 celebrates the miracle of life: "For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well." Reflecting on the gift of life can bring joy and gratitude.

  • Ephesians 2:10. "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

  • Philippians 2:13. "For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."

  • Psalm 138:8. "The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands."

  • Proverbs 16:9. "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."
