Catechism of the Holy Catholic Church

The Catechism stands as the sacred foundation of our everlasting Christian being. It is the declaration of our steadfast conviction and resolute trust in the divine Creator, and His divine revelation through the Holy Spirit and the blessed Son of God, Jesus Christ. The Divine One has declared the meaning of the sacraments, the essence of life's questions, and the responses derived from the teachings of the Catholic Church and the divine message of the gospel.

The profession of Faith: Let it be known that with unwavering conviction, one shall believe and declare all that is encompassed within the Symbol of faith, which reads as follows: I profess my belief in one God, the omnipotent Father, creator of the celestial and terrestrial realms, of all that is perceivable and imperceptible.

The Christian Mystery is exalted and glorified through the divine Liturgy and the holy Sacraments. By the power of the Holy Spirit, the Sacraments unveil the divine mysteries of God's revelation in Christ for us to behold. Behold, the divine gifts of salvation bestowed by the ministry of Christ are to be found in the sacred Liturgy and are at our disposal. The Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity as the central Mystery of Christian faith and life.

Life in Christ: The divine Son of God, born in a humble manger, sacrificed Himself on the cross, conquered death by rising from the grave, and now dwells within the spirit of every faithful Christian through His Holy Spirit. This entity is known as "the embodiment of Christ."

Christian Prayer Prayer is unequivocally defined as a crucial and intimate communion with the living and genuine Deity in the Catechism (CCC, no. 2558). Prayer is divine, for it is the sacred communion with the Almighty (CCC, no. 2565). It is a covenant between the divine and humanity, established through Christ.
