Advent
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
A
Advent stands as a sacred time of the preparation and reflection on the initial arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ. We open our hearts and contemplate the profound meaning of Jesus' birth as a testament to divine love for humanity. This sacred time acts as a moment for reflective thinking, fostering a sense of humility and the joy that has been bestowed upon us through the uplifting message of hope we have received from our Savior. Also, reflecting on the return of the divine brings us tranquility and optimism.
We call the four weeks before Christmas the Advent Season, as we prepare for the arrival of Jesus Christ. The first Sunday of Advent, there is the blessing of the Advent Wreath with four candles, sometimes a fifth one symbolizing the light of Christ. Every Sunday of Advent, we light a candle to symbolize the hope, joy, peace, and love that Jesus bestowed upon us. During this time, we recite the scripture and pray.
